Remsen, Iowa's 33nd Annual Demo Derby promises to be another monster demolition derby in northwest Iowa, and one of the larger Demolition
Derby's in the country.
The Demo Derby has grown into a large event drawing thousands of people from Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska and Minnesota together for a great time. You'll find great food and beverages served with along with crashing cars and smoke. |

Remsen's first Demo Derby, started in 1978, drew about 800 people. The first event was such a success, the Remsen
Jaycees built a new arena at the base of the Remsen Golf Course in the Summer of 1987, and the event's date was moved to the 3rd Saturday of June each year.
Remsen's Demo Derby is a co-operative effort of many organizations which includes the Remsen VFW, K.C.s, Lions Club, EMTs, Fire Dept., & Powder Players Snowmobile Club, plus the Marcus and Sioux City
Jaycees. Remsen Lumber, Dance Studio, Farmers Cooperative, City of Remsen, Oyens
Fire Dept, Boy Scout Troop 113, American Bank and Farmers Savings Bank. |
